Mauritius offers sheltered waters protected by offshore reefs which make indulging in water sports a must!   Your children will love to share a sailing experience, try waterskiing and kayaking or snorkelling and diving on the coral reef.   In Mauritius excursions include day sails and snorkelling trips along the coast as well as speedboat trips that allows you swim among the dolphins.

Shandrani

The Shandrani in Mauritius offers a stunning child friendly resort located in the unspoilt south, amidst lush tropical gardens, They have three different beaches, plus the internationally recognised Shandrani Sailing Club and the IKO-certified Shandrani Kitesurf School, perfect for beginners. The Shadrani offers a free Bob Marlin mini-club that provides a range of activities that will appeal to children aged 3 to 12. Activities are usually divided between 3 – 6 year olds and 7-12 year olds with free group coaching available for tennis, golf, waterski-ing and sailing.

Anahita

At the Anahita you can stay in either one, two or three bedroom residences or three, four and five bedroom luxury villas which have private swimming pools, kitchens, outdoor patios and gardens.  As we know the 1^st law of family holidays is, ‘If the children have a great time, the parents do to’.  At OurSpace, the childrens club, the action packed days ensure that the children really enjoy themselves. OurSpace caters for children from 8 months to 13 years which allows parents to take advantage of the wide range of facilities at the hotel or just relax by the pool with a good book.

When we think you should go

Mauritius’s summer is between Novembers to May. The warmest month of the year is February.  That said the temperature on the island remains tropical through the year and although winter arrives between May and October, May is still a great month to visit.  You can benefit from lower rates and less people!
